Clearwater is located in Pinellas County on Florida’s central west oast. Off its coast is Caladesi Island, voted the number two beach in the U.S for the years 2006 and 2007. Pinellas County is the only county that has two of the countries top ten beaches, Caladesi and Fort Desoto. Clearwater is conveniently located close to both St. Petersburg and Tampa, so it shares many of their attractions and popular entertainment. In 2005 Pinellas County was among the top 40 of large counties considered best fit for small businesses, according to Entrepreneur magazine. The area was also recently ranked as the number one large metropolitan county in Florida to live. Just around sunset Clearwater’s Pier 60 becomes alive with street performers, musicians, crafters, and entertainment that the whole family will enjoy. This free festival occurs daily and year round from 6:30- 10:30pm, weather permitting. Clearwater is also the spring training home of the Philadelphia Phillies. The area has a subtropical climate with an average summer high in the mid 90’s and lows in the low 70’s. Winters are mild with highs in the low 70’s and lows in the low 50’s.
