The Mortgage Bankers Association reports that mortgage application volume increased following the Memorial Day holiday.
Mortgage applications increased 10.3 percent from one week earlier, according to data from the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending June 6, 2014. The previous week’s results included an adjustment for the Memorial Day holiday.
The MBA also reports that the seasonally adjusted Purchase Index increased 9 percent from one week earlier. The unadjusted Purchase Index also increased 19 percent compared with the previous week and was 13 percent lower than the same week one year ago.
